Artedi has launched!!!

We are thrilled to share this exciting news with you - Artedi has officially launched on the App Store!

We have some amazing features in this first launch, including the ability to record meta data, time your surveys a variety of ways, export one or all surveys AND save your surveys on your device. We have several more awesome features coming later this year: camera access, addition of GPS coordinates, sorting of fish by shape rather than family, and the ability to add an "unknown" fish for those we don't have included as illustrations just yet.

Thank you for your support of this project. Your contributions are appreciated and your generosity warms our hearts.

Please check out our website to follow our updates, and if you have an iPad then please download Artedi to see the results of what YOU helped bring to life!!! And if you're feeling adventurous, grab an iDive housing and take Artedi underwater for the full experience!

We are always looking for feedback from our scientific community - what features would you like to see? How can we improve Artedi to meet your needs? Although we have launched this first edition, our work is still far from over! We will continue to provide app support, development and testing to keep Artedi at the front of the pack! This is a pretty exciting moment for us but it is an amazing leap forward for the scientific community studying fish! Please share Artedi with your colleagues and let's "learn more underwater" !

About This Project

Isla Mar Research Expeditions

We are building a fish identification survey app for the iPad and Android tablets. When conducting fish surveys, scientists still use pen, paper and reference books. With this app, we would increase the accuracy of reef fish census and reef fish identification. We have the technology to promote faster and more efficient surveys for scientists, now we just have to build it.

Blast off!
