    My favorite: Gasteracantha AKA the spiny orb weaver Least favorite: probably Nephila - they are awesome and beautiful, but HUGE and they like to build their large, strong webs over trails

    Do you anticipate it to be easy to locate 45 spider colonies?

    Yes, I do! At our study site during the 2016 field season, we easily located our goal of 30 colonies within the span of two days. We even encountered other colonies during the course of the season that we didn't need to use.
