Fantastic result, Sam. I am keeping an eye on the (formerly) bright green corals at Fairlight, which were very bleached, and will let you know if I see signs of recovery. Water pretty warm though!

Hi Jane, Thanks! Having more eyes in the water is so helpful! Overall the corals are showing good signs of recovery, but yes we are entering another potential warmer than average SST period so will need to closely monitor over the coming Summer/Autumn. We will keep in touch with any observations. Thanks Jane!

Hi Mark, thanks for your comment! Yes the more we know about corals, including the invaluable insights we can gain from corals surviving in extreme or marginal environments, the better we can predict the future of coral reefs and protect them!

In my opinion viewing the Coral reefs are among the key things worthy of the cost of travel to Australia. What ever the equivalent of the Department of Tourism should be supporting all of these kinds of studies.
