Are roads and railways used by lizards to disperse into new territories?

Summary

Based on our data collected between 2005 and 2009 (published here), we build a habitat suitability model and went in the field to search for lizards in predicted suitable habitats. Moreover we also build a connectivity model to predict which habitats follow to be colonized based on least cost paths. Now, we want to go back and test the models in the field and test whether habitats within the corridor's path that were not previously inhabited by lizards now have lizards.

Pre Analysis Plan

Habitat suitability models (HSM) have been estimated using two methods; an classical additive habitat suitability model (cHSM), and a fuzzy habitat suitability model (fHSM) which were combined and used to create the final HSM.

I also estimated the cost of moving of Common Wall Lizards through the landscape, as well as identifying the potential corridors and paths that Common Wall Lizard could use to expand its range and possible conquer new suitable habitats. 

These models follow to be tested in the field.
