Incredible start

Dear backers,

what an incredible first day! You are truly amazing and I am very touched!

Just in case somebody stumbles onto the project, who is not familiar with the little parallel universe that is the ukulele world, let me tell you about a community that is truly inclusive while spreading diverse interest on anything ukulele. Without these guys my life would look completely different and I'm so happy for knowing them, running into everyone at ukulele festivals around the globe and meeting them in their and my homes.

The ukulele is still hugely understudied in scientific literature and has just started to expand into a musical world that includes ambitiously contemporary pieces; what the Germans call "Ernste Musik" (serious music). To combine the most serious music with what is deemed the funniest instrument really tickled me from the start. But what I started to discover when entering in this ostensible conundrum, was a wealth of musical freedom, that I am still continuing to explore.
