Here we are, on a chilly November morning at Bristol Zoo, U.K., celebrating the funds we have raised so fair in the campaign (L-R is Sam, Fay and Christoph). Tired, but happy! Unfortunately, Alison is based in the U.S. but is here in spirit!

We feel really proud and grateful to have raised over $1000 so far, but we could do so much more with additional funding. Therefore, if you are new to discover our project or have a keen interest but haven't made a donation yet, please do consider lending us a hand by joining 'Team Lemur'.

Even a small amount, just a couple of dollars, would have a large impact. You may not be aware that currently, we are in a 'competition' with 12 other zoo projects and the zoo with the most backers (not total $ raised) by 30th November 2016 wins a cash prize of $1000. An additional $1000 would be immense for our project.

All the best,

Sam, Fay and Christoph (and Alison!)

About This Project

Lemurs are in Trouble. They are the world’s most endangered vertebrates, and attempts to reintroduce captive-raised lemurs to the wild may be necessary within a decade. We will investigate whether lemurs born and raised in zoos have essential skills needed to survive in the wild by extracting food from a novel ‘False Fruit’ and navigating a complex 3D maze we call the ‘Tangled Tree’. Boot camp is tough and there’s no cheating allowed - they will receive no help or training on the tasks!

Blast off!
