Anonymous Supplies Donated!

Hi Everyone,

I recently received donated supplies to go towards my project. My amazing research teacher posted to his businesses' (Roly Poly Ranch) Facebook page asking for donations. Many people pitched in and contributed general reptile husbandry supplies that I can put towards my setup.

A list of donated supplies

Because the materials to house and care for anoles took up so much of my budget (53%), this will greatly help me reach the funding goal. The supplies donated are estimated to be worth about $800, which will be counted as a grant towards my funding efforts. I cannot express how thankful I am to all of the anonymous donors who are generously giving me their reptile supplies for this research! I would also like to thank Mr. Eastburn for posting to his Facebook group and helping me reach out to members of the captive reptile community.

On a separate note, there are 9 days left and I am 94% funded. I am fully confident that I will be able to reach this funding goal by the end of the 30 day time period, but not without your help! Please continue to spread the word to family, friends, and colleagues. If you wish to donate supplies, feel free to message me or comment on the project page, and I will contact you separately to tell you what items are still needed and where to send any donations.

Thank you to everyone who donated, spread the word, and commented or read the project page!

-Victoria :)

About This Project

Green anoles (Anolis carolinensis) morphs from green to brown, and it is not known why. In this experiment, the effect of stress levels and the correlation of light levels and temperature on the frequency and duration of color change in A. carolinensis will be tested. I hypothesize that stress levels in addition to environmental conditions such as light and temperature affect color change in A. carolinensis. This research will provide insight into an unusual behavior of a common lizard.

Blast off!
