11 more days! Let's reach $2000

Hello everyone!

I wanted to give you a view of what it actually looks like in our lab. Here is one of the fabulous undergrads rocking some gels!

With your help and continued support we can keep discovering and keep building new scientists.

This is more than just research for research sake!

Please continue to help us! Everyone who has donated so far, you have our eternal gratitude. With 11 days left we ask you to help us reach $2000. With $2000 we can finally begin the process of next gen sequencing.

So far we have identified nematodes from over 50 samples, ranging from bottle nose dolphins to elephant seals! We have found C. boopis is humpback whales, heartworm in harbor seals, and several "mystery" worms we still can't quite identify past the genus. With your help we can elucidate the identity of these nematode parasites!

Thank you all so much!

About This Project

The goal of this research is to identify parasitic infections in marine mammals like seals, whales, and dolphins. We hope to aid in diagnosis and treatment of these infections using DNA sequences. Molecular biological techniques will allow us to monitor these infections.
Blast off!
