Very exciting crowdfunding news! Please read!Hi everyone!
I have some very exciting news about funding for my project! Conservation International, a non-governmental conservation organization, said if I could reach 70% of my goal, they would cover the last 30%! Conservation International does amazing work all over the world, and they are committed to protecting nature for the benefit of all. Check out their work in the link below:

So far, my project is 45% funded. I just need another 25% and Conservation International will fund the rest of the money! This is an amazing opportunity for my manta ray research, and manta ray conservation! Please help me reach this goal, whether that is funding yourself or sharing with family and friends. Any amount helps and I appreciate everyone's donations so far!

About This Project

Satellite Tracking Reef Manta Rays in Papua New Guinea to Inform Conservation Management

Columbia University

My current research is focused on understanding the movement of reef manta rays around Papua New Guinea using satellite telemetry. Understanding the movement of this population can help justify the need for community-based marine protected areas and explore opportunities to promote eco-tourism. As global manta ray populations are decreasing due to expanding trade, the engagement of communities and protection of this elusive giant is crucial.
