Will pass on the project! I would also like to volunteer my time as a SoCal RC member .

What can I do to help in SoCal? I have a network of about 50 freedive buddies who would be interested in kelp restoration and urchin removal.

Hi Heather, We don't have any project in Southern California at the moment, but if you were interested in a trip to Mendocino, there are organized culling events happening every month. We work collaboratively with the Watermen's Alliance, who are organizing monthly campouts and culling events- it would be great to have you! Culling events mostly occur via Scuba, however if you are advid free-divers, there are no reason for you can't cull free-diving. If you can't make and event, you can come and participate on your own any time, just make sure you log your dives and how many urchins you culled! I will reach out to via email for more info. In the meantime, check out their Facebook page for more info: https://www.facebook.com/groups/158992911481142. Thanks so much for your contribution!!!! Thanks, Annie
