There are many unexplained natural phenomena lumped under the category of cryptids--unverified or hidden species. Through global expeditions, the Institute for Hidden Species and Expeditions will blend scientific rigor with local knowledge to deepen biological and cultural understanding. By combining cryptozoology, ecology, and cultural studies, IHSE will enhance community's knowledge on biodiversity while promoting ecological conservation.

The Institute for Hidden Species and Expeditions (IHSE) is dedicated to investigating cryptids—unverified or hidden species—through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates cryptozoology, ecology, and anthropology. IHSE conducts ethical and scientifically rigorous field expeditions in often remote areas to document cryptids, gather biological samples, and record cultural narratives. Each team, comprising cryptozoologists, biologists, and cultural anthropologists, collaborates closely with local guides to ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity. But why cryptids? Beyond fascination, studying cryptids offers the potential to discover unknown species, shed light on biodiversity, and deepen our understanding of ecosystems.

Cryptid research, such as expeditions for species like the Mokele-mbembe or the Yeti, often leads to the discovery of undocumented species, highlighting the ecological importance of these regions. These expeditions target under-researched ecosystems, supporting conservation efforts. By integrating local knowledge, cryptid research fosters cooperation in conservation, as seen in the Orang Pendek studies in Sumatra, which emphasize rainforest preservation for species like the Sumatran tiger. High-profile hunts for creatures like the Tasmanian tiger raise public awareness and mobilize resources for conservation. .
