I worked with Kristen at Katz Radio back in 2000 and when I saw this video my heart stopped. I donated and shared on my Facebook page and with friends. I am praying for your family!!!!

As a mother and now a grandmother, just learning of this just heart my heart. I pray a cure can be found swiftly.

Wishing you the best! I my personally benefit from your research. I have Leukoencephalopathy brought on by a Chemotherapy drug that destroyed 30% of my white matter. I have some of the same symptoms stumbling etc. Been thru 7 neurologists that say there is nothing they can do. So I'm on permanent disability and hoping one day there will be something for me! The CRISPR-cas9 technology is still too early. Recent reports suggest that it can have rather strong off target effects and you will end up with mutations in other genes if you're not careful. Scientists are trying to tame it though.

I can definitely empathize with the situation of the Gray's family and can perfectly understand how a parent would definitely want to do all they can to save their child. But as a man of Science who has been doing research for many years, I think it is important that expectations be properly managed. The therapies outlined in the video could be rather risky and it is possible that they may end up doing more harm than good. As my boss used to say, "Show me the data". As such, I really hope the results from this "New Zealand based doctor" can be shared with the community so we can properly assess the results and the proposed therapy.

I know a family in Irvine, CA who just found out their almost two yr old also has Battens as does his 5 year old brother. Just because it is so rare, and therefore a cure would not be profitable, not one family should have this horror happen to them....losing both children in such a horrible way!

I heard Gordon's interview on the Rich Eisen show and I was moved. Prior to the interview, I had not even heard of this disease.
