Methods

Summary

Bacterial cultures,  growth curves,  minimal inhibitory concentration determination, efflux pumps assays, quorum sensing evaluation via determination of signal molecules with reporter strains and chromatographic methods, determination of phenazines  and siderophores (by spectrophotometry), exoprotease activities, exopolysaccharide, rhamnolipids, swarming, biofilm formation, etc.

Galleria mellonella infection model (larvae are infected by the injection of bacteria in the hemolymph and survival is evaluated daily).

Challenges

The main challenge will be to obtain enough funding.

Pre Analysis Plan

We will use standard statistical methods to analyze our data, biology is noisy, but having a high number of replicate experiments help.

Protocols

This project has not yet shared any protocols.
