Well there aren't so many fence posts in our study area! But they do congregate in both Florida and Arizona, and that was the point of this photo as was to point to their sociality, which is a bit unusual for a raptor. Not many raptor species like each other that much!

I assume these caracaras may have just finished their morning meal so they have gathered together on this convenient fenceline to digest, preen their feathers, and just hang out.
