Getting ready to launch

We are getting all of our research infrastructure together for our launch. We are using Ripple Science to track participants, and our recruitment efforts. This is a service designed for managing participants in large clinical trials. We are also using Qualtrics for our study instruments. We have 8 surveys to give to participants in the first year of their enrollment in our longitudinal study. Lots to do, we hope to launch very soon.

About This Project

Kink-involved people engage in atypical erotic activities such as bondage, rough sex, and fetish activities that might risk injury. However, we know very little about the rate of injury for people who engage in these activities or their healthcare experiences. Patterns of anticipated stigma, delay or avoidance of care, and concealment of kink/BDSM fit the Minority Stress Model; kink-identified people should be considered a sexual minority for the purposes of healthcare.
