It's Official!

Dear MyHealthEd Supporters,

It's official! Last week, MyHealthEd was awarded one of the four $50,000 grants from the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) at the Emerging Issues Forum on "Teachers and the Great Economic Debate." This 15-month grant will allow us to continue working on our project through June 2015. We want to thank the DOZENS of you who helped to launch our Facebook campaign, and the HUNDREDS of you who cast THOUSANDS of votes for our MyHealthEd project; we could not have won this prize without you.

Pictured above from left to right: NC State Chancellor W. Randolph Woodson, Liz Chen, Beth Moracco (Liz's faculty advisor), and Chairman of the SECU Foundation McKinley Wooten.

In the upcoming weeks, we will finalize plans to start our work with high school health teachers and students toward the end of March. In early April, we will reunite in San Francisco for the annual Youth + Tech + Health (YTH) Live 2014 Conference where we will be presenting on the progress of our project and gathering feedback.

Again, thank you so much for helping us win the SECU grant. We look forward to posting more updates in the coming weeks!

Best,

Liz & Vichi
