Recruitment Materials

Here's a few things we made in the last few days: 240 flyer cards to hand out and a banner for setting up a booth on Sproul Plaza, the main open area on campus. We will begin advertising for the study soon.

I'd recommend putting some money into FB marketing to reach more people ;)

Thanks for the advice! We've thought about it but since we want to only target UC Berkeley students, we think we'll be able to find enough interest just by posting on a few large UC Berkeley Facebook pages (each year of students has a Facebook group) and by advertising on campus.

About This Project

As students carry out their busy lifestyles, many are turning to inexpensive and convenient drink based meal-alternatives, such as Soylent, to supplement or replace their regular diets. These meal alternatives are designed to fulfill the nutritional needs of a human, but the impact on the microbiome remain unknown. This project aims to track the composition of participant's microbiome before, during, and after Soylent use to more holistically understand Soylent's impact on microbiome health.
