United...at Entrepreneurs United!
Dear MyHealthEd Supporter,
Liz and Vichi reunited in Kansas City, MO last weekend for the second Entrepreneurs United Conference co-sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation and Teach For America. There, we joined 200+ TFA alumni in sharing our early- and late-stage ventures. Among the founders and co-founders we met were: Jeff Casimir of Turing School of Software & Design, Karthik Soora of One Jump, Robert Moore of SOAR Baltimore, Ginnie Logan of Big Hair Bigger Dreams, David Orrick of DIBS for Kids, Gabriel Fotsing of The College Initiative, and Morgan Dixon of GirlTrek. In particular, we look forward to connecting Morgan and her co-founder Vanessa to leaders in North Carolina!

Dinner was held at the College Basketball Experience (the College Basketball Hall of Fame) in downtown KC. There, we listened to this year's Teach For America Social Innovation Award Finalists pitch their ventures. It's hard to believe that the two of us were in their shoes just one year ago! We wish these founders and co-founders much luck in the coming weeks as they prepare for Final Round Interview Day!
We have finished pilot testing our current version of MyHE's online sex education course with students at one of our four partner high schools in Eastern North Carolina. We also had the opportunity to conduct focus groups (one with boys and another with girls) and an interview with their health teacher to learn about their user experiences. We will continue to pilot test with our three remaining high schools and finish by the end of this school year.
Stay tuned for another update next week after Liz presents at the annual APPCNC conference in Greensboro. Happy Friday!
Best,
Liz & Vichi
