Does Health Literacy Correlate with Elevated HbA1c in Under-served Communities in Mexico?

The first step of this project is to gain approval from the U.S. Mexico Embassy. The second step is to begin crowdfunding which is where Experiment.com comes in. We need backers like you to step in when a large majority of corporates ignore this investigator-authored research. The final step is to begin the conduct of the study. We meet with the clinic organization at a supposed time of around 6:00 a.m. The meeting time and location varies with the organization/institution we are going with, but one thing remains the same: Mexico. At 9:00 a.m., we reconvene at another meeting point to buy insurance. At 10:00 a.m. is the arrival and set-up of the clinic and the day-to-day operations begin! Patients are checked in at the vitals station and seen at the consultation room or dental clinic. The research team will add to the overall clinic flow by performing the physical exams for successfully screened patients, take the HbA1c and albumin levels, and administer questionnaires. This way, the medical students can focus on other aspects such as dental operations, inventory count, consultations while we minimize the burden of responsibility.
