Methods

Summary

We will be measuring the following water quality parameters:

1. Electrical conductivity

2. Total Dissolved Solids

3. Salinity

4. pH

5. Dissolved Oxygen

Water Quality Index will be computed based on the above parameters.

For determining the accuracy of testers, we will use:

1. Pearson's correlation

2. Mean relative error

3. Coefficient of determination for linear fits

Challenges

Low-cost testers are often not reliable and need to be screen for accuracy before testing. We will need to use facilities of an accredited lab and also standard calibration reagents.
