Growing up in a village in India, I mostly did two things: played cricket and went looking for birds. One thing led to another, and I ended up doing a PhD studying the diversity and beauty of jumping spiders.
Somewhere along the way, I got completely hooked. I love these fascinating little animals, and for as long as I can, I want to keep going out, finding them, and learning more about them. At a personal level, it makes me happy :)
Now that I’ve graduated, I have all sorts of ideas that I finally have the freedom to pursue. Well, as long as I can afford to pursue them!
So, here I am, trying to figure out: can I afford to keep doing this?
