About
Saida BOUZID holds a Master’s degree in Oceanography, a Postgraduate degree in Marine Environmental Sciences, and a PhD in Marine Environmental Pollution, specializing in Environmental Organic Geochemistry and Marine Biomonitoring. Her research primarily focuses on the impact of anthropogenic activities on marine and aquatic ecosystems, exploring the fate of chemical pollutants through multi-biomarker approaches and the behavior of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in marine organisms. Her work also examines the critical intersection of environmental stressors—including climate change and pollution—on marine biodiversity, from benthic microfauna to the preservation of endangered species such as sea turtles and cetaceans in the Moroccan Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.
