I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, under the guidance of Dr. Abbie Smith-Ryan. I obtained my doctoral degree in nutrition at Florida State University under the guidance of Dr. Robert Hickner. My master's and bachelor's were both in exercise physiology at the University of Kentucky.
My research interests are metabolism, vascular, and body composition changes in response to exercise, supplementation, and environmental stressors (high altitude, heat, and cold) in women across the menstrual cycle and lifespan.
I have had extension experience assisting with National Institute of Health R01 projects
My long-term goal is to work as an assistant professor, teaching and performing research at a university.
