My journey into skincare research began in 2019, driven by a passion to create effective, sustainable skincare solutions. Growing up in the US Virgin Islands, I was inspired by nature's healing properties, which led me to study biology and chemistry. During my undergrad, I launched Maho Skin with a focus on developing skincare products for common concerns like hyperpigmentation and acne. My goal has always been to combine the best natural ingredients with cutting-edge science for gentle yet effective solutions.
Currently, I’m pursuing a graduate degree in Chemistry to deepen my understanding of skincare formulations. Over the years, I’ve personally invested over $10,000 into Maho Skin, refining my research and creating a lab to bring my vision to life. Through perseverance and dedication, I’ve built a foundation for a brand focused on science-backed, sustainable skincare that can truly make a difference.
