About
My research helps instructors and trainers find the right balance between face-to-face and digital learning.
As a PhD student, my research focuses on comparing the effectiveness of delivery models of internet and communications technology (ICT)-mediated learning. In particular, I specialize in the context of training staff and volunteers at religious or faith-based organizations. I hold a BA in Religion from Oberlin College, MA in Theology from John Carroll University and a Certificate in Distance Education from Penn State University.
Professionally, I have been a teacher, author, national trainer and curriculum developer in adult basic education since 2004. I apply this knowledge base to my work as Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Mustard Seed Training, a team of artisans making materials for praying with children. I also serve as Communications Specialist for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio and Research Assistant in the School of Education, Health and Human Services (EHHS) at Kent State University.
