My area of expertise includes ecology and epidemiology of zoonotic infectious diseases; field, laboratory and animal use studies of viral, rickettsial, and bacterial pathogens; animal diseases in wildlife, ecology of vertebrate animals and arthropod vectors. Participating at the CDC Global Disease Detection program, I involved in many international programs on zoonotic and vector-borne diseases (Guatemala, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Georgia-Caucasus, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and many other countries).
