About
-I’m Agricultural engineer and I have received a PhD in Agricultural Entomology from Technical University in Madrid (UPM), Spain, in 1981.
-I'm full professor and leader of a research group focusing on Integrated pest management, embedded in the Department of Crop Production at the School of Agricultural, Food and Biosystems Engineering (ETSIAAB) of the Technical University in Madrid (www.upm.es), in Spain. I have collaborative agreements with researchers of several countries.
-My main research field of expertise are:
*biological control and its compatibility with modern tools /selective pesticides/ pesticide treated nets, UV absorbent barriers
*management of field margins to improve the presence of pollinators in agricultural areas
-I'm founding partner of the Spanish Applied Entomological Society (www.seea.es)
-Outside of work I enjoy hiking and playing tennis and ping pong and I never turn down the opportunity to enjoy a good book or a good classical concert.
