I began research on the ecology, physiology, and behavior of Heloderma suspectum in Utah back in the early 1980s and have the good fortune to investigate the ecology of helodermatid lizards throughout their range from Utah, Arizona and New Mexico to Mexico and Guatemala. Currently, my research focuses on Heloderma horridum, exasperatum and alvarerezi in Mexico.
