I graduated from University of New South Wales in 2013 and became an optometrist. In 2020, I completed a Masters in Optometry and became interested in research. When Black Summer occurred in Australia, it made me realise that we do not yet know how poor air quality due to smoke exposure can affect the eye surface and if it can have a long term impact on vision.
