About
Hi there! My name's Samantha, and I am a 5th year Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill. My research and clinical interests focus on reproductive mental health. I hope to use technology (e.g., smartphones, smartwatches) and person-centered methods to improve our ability to predict, prevent, and treat mental health concerns during the perinatal period. Long-term, my goal is to use this research to help improve access to high-quality and science-backed mental healthcare, particularly for high-risk individuals and underserved communities. It is important to me that my research has practical implications for healthcare settings and that it can meaningfully help improve the care that pregnant and postpartum individuals receive. I sincerely appreciate your interest in our work and your shared commitment to improving access to much needed perinatal mental health supports! All parents deserve the support they need to be well.
