I am a community-based researcher of socio-ecological systems in the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. Previously, I completed my M.S. is marine resource management at Oregon State University and my bahelor's degree in Environmental Science at the the University of Puerto Rico. I am from the small Caribbean island of Culebra, where I have worked in coral restoration and diverse coastal conservation efforts. I am keen on implementing ecosystem-based management of coastal socio-ecological systems through applied and participatory research.
