YOU CANNOT MAKE A RESEARCH WITHOUT BREAKING ANY EGG (friends are friends)

FACT: there are infectious bowel diseases named with strange Latin names. THESIS: you could cure one of these inflammatory bowel diseases with a protein contained in the egg white (replacing the antibiotics that are very badly used until now). SUMMARY: We all do an offer, even $20 are good (if you look carefully is like donating 20 eggs), although there is the risk that only the protein (egg white) will be used while the red part of the egg will be thrown away, but too many eggs are dangerous, my mother says. CONCLUSION: If at some point the research proves to be fruitless, let's throw on the front of my door all the eggs that are remaining. The real project is here: https://experiment.com/projects/can-albumin-from-egg-whites-be-used-to-treat-clostridium-difficile-infections. Any donation will be highly appreciated. Bye. Stefano

About This Project

Microbiology Laboratory, San Gerardo Hospital, Monza, Italy

Clostridium difficile infection is a toxin-mediated bacterial infection responsible for 500,000 infections and 30,000 deaths in the US alone. Clostridium difficile virulence and mortality rates increased 5-fold in the last 15 years. In the laboratory, we discovered that the major protein of the egg white, albumin, protects cells from toxin-induced death. The goal of is to test whether albumin administration can reduce the mortality rate associated with Clostridium difficile infection in vivo.
