Introducing Phage Lambda Khilnani and Plasmid pKL01

Thank you to all of our generous backers! We have successfully reached the goal for Part 1 of our HIV vaccineproject...I'm quite conservative in my expectations for therapeutic success (as are most researchers in this field) but I've got a feeling that this project is indeed going to work and will impart great social benefit. It's my team's mission to provide therapeutic benefit on a globallevel...and to see this goal comeone step closer to fruition andto be able to offer our science to people directly, answer questions andshowcase our work, is greatly rewarding! Thank you to all of you who believe inour cause...it is people like yourselves that believe the world can be betterand that we all humans deserve health and quality in our lives.

Two ofour backers' particular generosity will be showcased! It is my honor tointroduce Phage Lambda Khilnani and pKL01...thank you! The plasmid pKL01 has been designedand encodes the necessary eukaryotic information to transfer to the finalhybrid bacteriophage (Phage Lambda Khilnani) that will serve as the finaltargeted HIV VLP-DNA vaccine delivery vector.

Thankyou again to all of you for believing in our work and in our plight to make the world healthier!

Pleasewatch for Part 2 of our HIV vaccine endeavor shortly!!!

HappyHolidays,

Roderick

About This Project

Bacteriophages (phages) are bacterial viruses that are very safe to humans, and can be manipulated both on the genetic and physical levels.

Our lab specializes in the engineering of phage to treat human diseases. We have made a phage that can target key immune cells in the body (dendritic cells) to deliver DNA that encodes a safe vaccine that can stimulate powerful immunity against Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the causative agent of AIDS.
Blast off!
