Expanded Project Perks!

So Experiment isn't set up to provide tangible rewards - the value isn't in a product produced, but knowing you were able to help research to move forward.  That said, I thought it might be neat to have ways to allow my donors not only know they were appreciated but show others how awesome they are.  With that in mind, I've set up the following donation levels, which will apply even if you already donated.  And of course, if you're not interested in getting anything mailed to you, I won't force you.

$10 - A special Twitter shout-out Thank You.  (fair warning, I have all of twenty followers)

$25 - A thank you post card.  You can put it on your fridge and be like "o, yeah, just a thing I donated money to" *hair flip*

$50 - A signed glossy photo of research in progress.  Not sure exactly what it will be yet, but it should be sciencey! Lasers and beakers could be involved.

$100 - Thank you in acknowledgment section of articles published from research, as well as a signed copy of the first article published based on funded research.

About This Project

This innovative, collaborative project addresses whether infrared spectroscopy can be used to characterize organic residues on fire-cracked rocks (FCR), enabling archaeologists to accurately identify what was cooked in earth ovens. To do so, I will create a reference collection and test both modern experimentally produced residues and residues from archaeological FCR. Some initial work has already been published - there's a link below.
Blast off!
