Launch Date

UP Aerospace has informed me that the launch will be taking place on the second of May. I apologize to everyone for the delays in the launch, though it seems that this date is quite definite. It was originally pushed out to allow for extra time in the production of the solid rocket engine, and then to allow another payloader to have extra time to complete construction of their experiment. Space exploration is known for such delays, though I would say that I fully believe that the launch is worth the wait! After the launch takes place I will post an update detailing the results of the flight. Thank you again to everyone who has made this project possible through their support! This could never have been funded without the assistance of our very generous backers.

About This Project

Our team is testing the TinyDuino, which is a new, small, stackable microcontroller with low power consumption. It can be used to collect data or control systems as a tiny computer, and could be ideal for small satellites. We are testing it through logging data from a magnetometer, temperature sensor, and accelerometer to a micro SD card. This microcontroller could reduce the cost of launching small satellites by allowing them to be smaller. It could also allow standard sized craft to do more.
