A rush and a push and then let the science begin!!

Hi All,

On Tuesday we met our target and we're still thrilled about all the support we've received so far. Thank you, Merci, Gracias und Dankeschön, again and again!!!

On Wednesday we set our new - very ambitious - target, but since we get to keep all funds that exceed our initial target, we can support the research to find the genetic cause of HCM in Maine Coons with all extra funds that come in until tomorrow!

On Thursday, the folks from the sequencing facility at our institute (who are also excited about the project) made a surprise visit to our lab and asked when they can start the sequencing! So you can be sure that we'll start with the research ASAP, but we want to make sure that we document and share everything along the way. In any case: there are more LabNotes to come!!

Now there is a day and a half left in the funding period, one last push and then it's off to do some science!

We can't wait.
