WE'RE A SUCCESS! THANK YOU!

Our project is a success. We obtained enough pledges to pay for two dates. Its all because of your generous donations.

In about a week or so I will post the first results when they come in from the lab. These will be visible only to those who have pledged. This is my early thank you for participating in this research.

Then in November I expect the results for another date or two depending on pledge dontation levels. I will post these results as well.

I would like to run up to six dates so until the deadline I will keep taking pledges!

All money will go through Jornada Research Institute and so will be fully tax deductable.

You all are awesome.

About This Project

Jornada Research Institute
Guevavi was a major focus of missionization efforts among the Sobaipuri-O'odham. We think we have identified the 1751 Jesuit mission among six adobe structures that surround the recognized NPS mission. I will date each with adobe wall samples using the luminescence technique. This will inform on which of these adobe structures date to (a) the Kino period (1691-1711), (b) 1751, (c) which are Franciscan, or (d) later mining/ranching features.
Blast off!
