We have done all the field phases and we have just finished our data analysis, we have very interesting news to tell you. For now, we want to discuss a little more the results we have obtained and then we will show them to you.

One of the most interesting results is the number of species that we recorded on the road and in the coverages bordering our sampling area, which represents about 67% of the snake species reported for this area of the country.

We have designed some beautiful book separators, with some of the species found in our samples. I put the designs that we made for you. I hope you comment on the one you like the most, and based on this we will choose one or two to be delivered to our sponsors.

An immense hug of gratitude for all, for making possible the realization of our project !!

About This Project

Within reptiles, snakes are the group most affected by roads due to factors intrinsic to their ecology and their complex patterns of movement, which leads them to use different habitat types for basking, shelter and foraging. In this study we propose to identify how landscape heterogeneity, seasonality, and ecological aspects of different snake species associate with patterns of mortality on a road. Such information is essential to help mitigate the impacts of roads on snake communities.

Blast off!
