Last field day

 

Hello to all of you!

I was just coming to announce that Tuesday was our last day of field trips. The penguin chicks were all grown up and we were able to get a lot of samples.

From now on, all the remaining work is lab work. We want to maximise the potential of the samples, so we will do complementary PCRs, serotyping and hopefully also genotyping, so that we can compare Salmonella circulating in penguins with that of the surrounding shorebirds.

I hope to be able to report results shortly. In the meantime, I just wanted to thank you all again for all your support and help.
