Field Sampling Preparation
This study project was ultimately funded. We appreciate your help in making the eDNA of Bali Sardine research in the Bali Strait-Indonesia Strait a reality, as well as that of the Experiment platform x eDNA Collaborative and backers. Without you, this initiative would not be feasible. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to Federico M. Lauro, PhD, a collaborator from NTU Singapore and the Singapore Center for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE), who provided support for the eDNA custom-made autosampler device OSMO (Ocean Sailing Microbiome Observatory) tool (Lauro et al. 2014). Federico collaborates with Aida Sartimbul, PhD, one of my supervisors at Brawijaya University.
I recently bought the eDNA sampling kits to filter and preserve eDNA samples, and before I travel to Bali Strait in the middle of this month (July), I will complete the remaining preparations. I'll provide you with further details after field sampling is completed. I can't wait to share those, so stay tuned!
