Thank You to Kendall!

We're getting down to the last couple of sponsorship thank yous, and this one goes out to longtime BBPI supporter and friend, Kendall.

Kendall sponsored a large jacket in our campaign, and this one is not only large, but also very important. This jacket is protecting several hip elements from an Allosaurus, collected this summer from our "LZ Blue" quarry. This is a 150 million year old predator from the famously fossil-rich Morrison Formation. We spent a lot of time on this jacket this summer because there were so many other associated bones under and around it, complicating its removal. All good problems to have!

Thanks again, so much, to Kendall for her long time and continuing support of our organization.

About This Project

Work alongside paleontologists as we collect, excavate and document the fossilized remains of the ancient ecosystems of Montana and Wyoming's Bighorn Basin. This year we're focusing on Jurassic (145 million yr old) sites, excavating dozens of juvenile Diplodocus bones at one, and Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, and crocodiles in another. Join us for a week this summer on the excavation!

Can't join us? Support us by sponsoring a fossil jacket or donating to help us purchase supplies! See below!

Blast off!
