Data data data! Over the course of my Master's thesis I've visited many museums and collected nearly 12,500 individual ghost shark measurements....Now what?
Since the smelly part of the work is over, the data crunching begins. The ultimate goal? How does this species differ from all the rest? Topics like Multivariate Statistics lead to lots of coffee drinking, and hopefully some definitive answers to the ultimate species question: Is this species new?

This project is to fund the naming of a new species, the ghost shark! We need $1800 to do this to cover analysis, publication preparation and outreach. The ghost shark is one of 15 shark new species we have discovered, but all currently lack scientific names. All need to be described and named, so if we raise more money during the 30 days all additional funding will go towards naming new lost sharks.
