Seabird challenge results- we did it!
The seabird challenge to earn an extra $1000 grant by being the project with the most backers came to an end last night. I'm pleased to announce that the Albatross Task Force came in first place, and we can now add these funds to buy more equipment for the project!
Thank you so much to all of our backers, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you also for sharing our project across social media and with your contacts. We've all been amazed by how far it's spread and the response we've received.

There was some stiff competition from other projects including; South Georgia diving petrels in NZ, and black capped petrels in Haiti. Everyone has done amazingly well to raise awareness of seabird projects around the world. Some still have not received their targets so please check them out!
This is not the end of the crowdfunding appeal, we still have 9 days to go. Any extra funds raised will buy even more Hookpods and lights. Don't forget that the stunning albatross print, by David Tipling is still up for grabs by one lucky donor of $25 or more. The draw will happen after the appeal ends on the 19th August.
Thanks again, we really think this project could have a great impact on saving seabirds!
