The final countdown

Hello everyone,

I am excited to announce that we are in the final hours of our campaign and we are incredibly close to reaching our goal! We have currently raised $4007/4215 (96% of our goal). I am hoping in the last 40 hours or so we can break through and raise the last $208 to reach our goal.

I wanted to share this lab note with a reminder that the experiment platform uses an "all or nothing" funding modeling, meaning if we do not reach our goal by the end of the day tomorrow, we will not be able to receive our funding. With that in mind, I am asking each of you to spread the word to anyone who might consider supporting our work!

I am so incredibly thankful for everyone who has shared, donated, and helped to spread the word about our work. I never would have thought we could have garnered so much support from the community for our project. Our goal is within reach and I am confident we can make this research a reality!

About This Project

Freshwater fish account for a quarter of the world’s vertebrate species and are critical to maintaining healthy ecosystems and supporting local communities. However, freshwater fish remain one of the most vulnerable taxa to climate change, with over 1/3 of species threatened with extinction. How will fish adapt and survive in response to climate change? We are attempting to answer this question by examining the underlying genetic variation that enables populations adapt to thermal stress.

Blast off!
