40 Hours to Reach the Finish Line!

Happy Meal, Healthy ChildMurder Mystery solving BacteriaBighorn Basin Dinosaurlight and stem cells to repair brain damage

Before I go, I would like to ask all you all out there in the community to help me have one more shot for reaching my goal for this project, Happy Meal, Healthy Child: Can toys reinforce choice of smaller portion sizes among children? Share, comment, or link this page to your social media sites if you would like to support this research! We are exploring unique ways to curb the childhood obesity epidemic. Namely, we have found that a simple toy incentive can help children to actually choose less!

Continuing this research with Dr. Martin Reimann at the University of Arizona means the world to me. I am ever grateful for you helping me to reach my goal and raise awareness both about this specific project and childhood obesity in general.

Until next time, experimenters!

About This Project

I am evaluating whether including an inexpensive toy with a smaller-sized meal, but not with the regular-sized version, will incentivize children to choose the smaller-sized meal at a restaurant, even among children with overweight and obesity. It is important to explore innovative options for reducing childhood overweight and obesity, including food marketing tactics that may have contributed to the pandemic in the first place.
