First goal reached!Hi everyone!
Thanks to your amazing support and excitement about this work, I have reached my first funding goal.  I can't tell you how happy this makes me.  You truly understand the importance of bumblebees and the services they provide to us and the environment.  I'm excited to open this project up and give everyone a real-time tour of how science in my field is done.  
There is still time to reach our 2nd and final goal of $5,000!  Please keep spreading the word around.

About This Project

What's best for bees? Radio tracking bumblebee foraging to determine the best bee environments

Bees are essential insects that help to provide us with hundreds of types of fruits, vegetables, and other foods. Despite their importance, human activity threatens bees across the world, especially via changes and losses in habitat. However, we still don't know what the best types of environments are for most wild bees (e.g. natural vs. managed agricultural lands). This project aims to use a novel method examining bee foraging behavior to let bees tell us where they prefer and thrive.
