Celebrating the Achievement of Our Crowdfunding Goal!

Dear backers and supporters,

I'm thrilled to announce that few days ago, our crowdfunding campaign for "Building a low-cost DIY bioreactor system for sustainable microbial cultivation" reached its funding goal! πŸŽ‰ As a project lead I'm deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and belief in our project from each and every one of you. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your contributions, which will allow us to turn our open-source LSF bioreactor vision into a reality. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and collaboration sharing the project in social networks has been instrumental in bringing us to this point, and I'm truly humbled by your support.

As some of you may have noticed, the crowdfunding deadline was intentionally extended a few days in order to give a change to more people to jump in. I've done this specifically in response to the messages I received from a few individuals requesting additional time to make their contributions, and so far we reached a 101% of our initial goal . πŸ˜›

At the moment of writing this update we are 40h away from closing the campaign definitively, this would be the last opportunity for anyone to support the project and gain access to all the exclusive updates and development insights. πŸ“ˆ I want to emphasize that since our project has been fully funded, there will not be any further time extensions beyond the current deadline. This is the final chance to be a part of our journey as we embark on this adventurous open-source challenge.

Considering the short deadline ahead, I invite anyone reading this post to make a contribution, no matter how small. Every penny counts and will be used to further enhance our project and expand its impact. Following some of the suggestions in the project's discussion board, we will be exploring cross-compatibility with other existing open-source bioreactor and sensor projects, creating synergies and fostering collaboration within the community to maximize the impact of our efforts. πŸ’ͺ

I repeat, less than 40h to take off! πŸ˜€ Please let's continue to spread the word about our successful crowdfunding campaign until the last minute. Share the campaign URL with your network, friends, and colleagues who might be interested in supporting our DIY bioreactors. Together, we are creating a ripple effect that surely will inspire excitement and creativity in the scientific maker community.

Thank you once again for your incredible support, belief, and commitment to our project. I'm honored to have you on board and look forward to sharing progress and achievements with you.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Antoni Gandia

About This Project

Our project aims to develop a food-grade, low-cost, bubble column bioreactor system for easy and sustainable cultivation of filamentous fungi, yeast, bacteria, and algae. The bioreactor system will be designed to cost less than $300, becoming accessible to anyone interested in sustainable agriculture, food security, and biotech. By sharing our project outcomes and resources, we aim to inspire others to build their own bioreactors and explore the potential of microbial cultivation.

Blast off!
