  2. A huge shout-out to Dr. Bass' team at NC SexCon for their incredible support in getting the students rolling. 🙌 Thanks to the approval and stipends, the students have officially started! 🎓💼

  3. Mark your calendars! 🗓️ We’re hosting our first Kinky Community Meeting on October 31st at 12:00 PM. We’ll be sharing research updates and having some time to discuss what comes up as you learn more about our collective desires! You won’t want to miss it!

🔑 from the Meeting: "...research that I have been doing around sort of extreme and taboos in Black communities... people wanting to do extreme bondage, blood play, or suspension, we see them playing more with white people because it’s harder to find kinksters of color doing these things." – Marla, Unveiling Desires Team (00:41:08)

About This Project

"Unveiling Desires'' explores BIPOC fetishistic desires using a unique dataset from voluntary fetish surveys collected over the past decade. This study provides insights into a sexually suppressed & underrepresented demographic. Key findings highlight the complexity of BIPOC sexual desires & the reclaiming of sexual autonomy. The fortuitous collection of this data offers an invaluable opportunity to advance sex education and discourse.
