Video - Why I Love Birds and Why We Need to Study them

A companion video to go with the blog post from last week, plus three reasons why we need to study birds (skip to 5:50 for that portion of the video).

As always I hope my stories and reasons inspire future ornithologists!  However this video mostly reiterates that I think birds are "the coolest thing ever" (because I say those exact words at least 4 times). :)

Why the world needs more ornithologists:

1. Birds are incredibly smart.

2. There is still so much to be learned about them!  So many questions remain to be asked.

3. They are a fantastic indicator species to measure environmental health.

Those are of course just a few of the reasons, but I believe they are the most important!
