Happy 2025!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is settling into 2025 with fresh energy—whether it’s in the lab, tackling new schedules, or implementing innovative strategies in your work.

I also want to take a moment to send a warm virtual hug to Polly, our partner in LA. We continue to wish for safety and resilience for you and your surrounding community. Same to those that have been impacted by the fires.

As we move into this year, we find ourselves in a thoughtful pause with data collection. While we're at a standstill, please know that we’re being intentional with our next steps, avoiding unnecessary meetings until the right partner is in place to help us advance the work.

Last week, I had a productive conversation with Carl Bunche, Chief Executive of B-Tech. Carl shared excellent recommendations for data analysis tools, including leveraging Google’s suite for initial analysis. He also offered valuable insights into clustering and response patterns that could enhance our approach. Carl has expressed interest in supporting the project and will provide guidance as needed moving forward.

Next week, I’ll be meeting with Kiana to explore how Iris can provide additional support. I’m also planning to check in with team members individually to align on progress and resources.

Thank you for your ongoing belief in this project. I look forward to sharing updates as we move ahead intentionally and thoughtfully.

Warm regards, Jasmine

About This Project

"Unveiling Desires'' explores BIPOC fetishistic desires using a unique dataset from voluntary fetish surveys collected over the past decade. This study provides insights into a sexually suppressed & underrepresented demographic. Key findings highlight the complexity of BIPOC sexual desires & the reclaiming of sexual autonomy. The fortuitous collection of this data offers an invaluable opportunity to advance sex education and discourse.
